Fairway was a truly great sporting dog , who won 30 races before he started his coursing career,
where he won 14 times including the 1996 championship. In those years the coursing championship was held over 2 days and entries were over 30 !

"The dog with white gloves" also had a white spot on top of his head, that some call "mismark" but is also known as "The mark of Noah". The white gloves on his front feet were actually brown spotted. this "irish marking" is a very rare pattern which existed on several first imports.
